Storm's First Brush: JCP&L Reports 161 Without Power in Warren

UPDATE 10:30 p.m.: National Weather Service says no more severe weather expected tonight, but some thunderstorms tomorrow could cause problems.

JCP&L reporting less than 20 without power; PSE&G says it's having no problems.

UPDATE 8:20 p.m.: Service restored to about 43 JCP&L customers.

At about 8 p.m., JCP&L is reporting 161 customers without power due to a passing storm.

PSE&G reports no known outages in Warren, although some Watchung residents are without service.

The storm hit the area about 7 p.m., with high, gusty winds and thunderstorms, before passing.

Weather forecasters have been predicting the possibility of high winds, hail and severe thunderstorms through tonight, as a line of storms moves through the Northeast to Ohio.
