Tax Bill Reprieve, Big Bands and Feng Shui in Warren

Highlights of the upcoming week in Warren Township.

It's the middle of summer, and the end of the month, so it may be the quietest time of the year for local activities and events. Here are some highlights of what's hapening this week in Warren:

Property taxes aren't due, sorta: Normally, the third quarter property tax bills are due on Aug. 1, but the county tax office has been running behind, not getting tax bills set until just a month ago.

Consequently, the township is giving residents a little more time to scrape the money together. Property owners have until Aug. 27 to make the quarterly payment without incurring a penalty—but if you miss the deadline, interest will be charged from Aug. 1.
