Write-Ins Win Spots on Warren School Board, Official Results Confirm

Write-in candidates Celeste Campos and Lisa DiMaggio will join incumbent James Sena in January.

Official results from Somerset County confirmed Tuesday night's unofficial election of write-in candidates Celeste Campos and Lisa DiMaggio to two spots on the Warren Township K-8 school board, to begin in January, according to the Warren Township clerk's office.

The two new board members will begin three-year terms along with James Sena, a one-term incumbent who had filed to be placed on the ballot.

Campos, DiMaggio and candidate Livio Mancino had each announced they would run as write-in candidates for the other two board positions for which no one had filed.

Official results, including mail in ballots not initially counted on Tuesday night, included 126 votes for Campos, 50 for DiMaggio and 31 for Mancino, according to updated vote counts from the clerk's office.

The revised vote count did not change the results of the election.
