Sena, Campos, DiMaggio Win Warren School Board Seats, Unofficial Results Show
Three write-in candidates compete for second and third elected spots on local K-8 Warren school board.
With incumbent James Sena — the only candidate who filed in time to have his name included on Tuesday's ballot for Warren Township School Board — pretty much expected to be re-elected, that left three write-in candidates competing for the second and third three-year seats on the board.
With the township clerk's office staff hand-counting and then re-checking those write-in results on Tuesday night, the unofficial results were 123 qualified write-in votes for Celeste Campos and 40 for Lisa DiMaggio.
The third write-in candidate, Livio M. Mancino, came up with 30 votes, according to the Tuesday count. All results must be certified by the Somerset County clerk's office.
Sena was top vote-getter with 2,110 votes.
The clerk's office figures said that 36.35 percent, or 4,155 township voters, cast a ballot on Tuesday.
