This was a busy and exciting weekend for the choir students. After their arrival on Thursday afternoon, the chorus went on a dinner dance cruise in Norfolk with students from Bernards High School who were also participating in the Festival.

Friday morning the group got up bright and early to watch the sunrise and head to the competition. Three judges sat in the audience and critiqued the chorus.

The Judges were:

Dr. Nancy Klein, Associate Professor of Music, Music Education and Choral Activities at Old Dominion University

Dr. David Sadlier Assistant Professor of Voice from Christopher Newport University

Dr. Michael Davis who is the head of the music at Disney

After the Festival, the students celebrated their performance with a fun filled afternoon at Busch Gardens. Following Busch Gardens the group experienced a Ghost Tour in Colonial Williamsburg.

Saturday morning, the Chorus opened for the 60th Annual Norfolk NATO Festival's Parade of Nations in Norfolk, VA as well.  The Parade showcased floats from many international countries along with performances from many high school marching bands that came to participate in the festival as well.

The night ended with the award ceremony and tickets to see the Virginia International Tattoo.

It was an amazing trip that ended with so many memories!

Congratulations for a job well done to the WHRHS Chorus!
