Two Charged with Marijuana Possession

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of Jan. 15.

Jan. 18

Raymond Perry, 19, of Warren, and Abril Braxton, 20, of Bridgewater, were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at 2:10 p.m., after police recieved a report of two suspicious vehicles on Oakwood Path.

Jan. 17

Ana Borges-Suazo, 37, of Basking Ridge, reported experiencing neck pain after the vehicle she was driving on Dead River Road at 1:43 a.m. slid on snow and struck a wall at the intersection of Mountainview Road. She was taken to Somerset Medical Center.

Nicholas Alongi, 23, of Warren, was charged with DWI at 5:55 a.m. after the vehicle he was driving on Route 78 was stopped. He was released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

A Broadway Road resident reported at 7:18 a.m. theft of $60 cash from a vehicle, after a window on the vehicle was smashed.

Police received a report at 9:31 a.m. of the theft of various exterior lighting fixtures from a Red Hill Road residence.

No injuries were reported after a Dealaman school bus went off Mt. Horeb Road near Stratford Court, at 3:45 p.m. and got stuck in a lawn. The bus company was able to send a second bus to take students home. Editor's note: a witness reports the bus went off Round Top Road, just north of the intersection with Mt. Horeb Road.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Ganga Tekulapally, 43, of Princeton Junction, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Kabilan Jayaraman, 32, of North Brunswick, at 5:04 p.m. as the vehicles were traveling on Morning Glory Road at King George Road.

Jan. 16

A Mt. Horeb Road resident reported at 9 a.m. the theft of a purse containing $180 in cash and other items from a vehicle parked in the residence's driveway, after someone smashed a window on the vehicle.

Warren police and state police responded to an accident on Route 78, near the 35 mile marker, after a vehicle went off the roadway, overturned and landed in a creek. Township fire and First Aid volunteers also responded. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Jan. 13

No injuries were reported following a 7:32 a.m. accident on Stirling Road, north of Mountain Avenue, after a vehicle driven by Amanda Dun,, 17, of Green Brook, hit a vehicle driven by Ding Shen, 53, of Warren.

Police responded to activated burglar alarm at a Mountainview Road residence, discovering the house had been burglarized. Jewelry and cologne, valued at $2,900 was reported stolen.

Police responded to an accident on Mountainview Road at 5:51 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Ramdevred Lattupally, 49, of Franklin Park, went off the road. No injuries were reported in the incident.
