Driver Charged With Possession of Marijuana

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of April 15.

April 19

Rose Ferrandino, 22, of Warren, was charged with careless driving at 7:34 a.m. fter the vehicle she was driving on Stirling Road hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Hayley Deutsch, 17, of Warren. No injuries were reported in the accident.

A Woods Road resident reported at 11:23 a.m. that someone had damaged an outside light fixture at the residence.

Jonathan Schwartz, 19, of Warren, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana at 12:28 p.m., after police stopped the vehicle he was driving on Mt. Horeb Road when he made an improper U-turn. He was also charged with possession of a CDS in a vehicle and possession of drug paraphrenalia before being released, pending an appearance in municipal court.

No injuries were reported in an accident on Liberty Corner Road at noon, after a vehicle driven by David Folsom, 52, of Hampton, struck a vehicle driven by Maria Gabrielski, 49, of Martinsville.

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Patrick Cerillo, 56, of North Plainfield, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by John Campbell, 54, also of North Plainfield, at 5:52 p.m. while traveling on Mountain Boulevard, near Old Stirling Road.

At 8:05 p.m., a Ferguson Road resident reported damage to the mailbox at the property. 

April 18

Police responded to a multiple-vehicle accident on Mt. Bethel Road, south of Mountain Boulevard, at 3:34 p.m., after a vehicle driven by Marci Lotter, 47, of Bridgewater, hit a vehicle driven by Gladys Vintimillaguanang, 49, of Plainfield, which hit a vehicle driven by Raul Cabuto, 47, of Watchung. Police reported Lotter left the scene of the accident but was later found by police. No injuries were reported.

April 16

Sabrina Schwartz, 21, of Warren, was charged with driving under the influence and possession of prescription medications at 7:26 a.m., after the vehicle she was driving on Mountainview Road, near King George Road, crashed. She as turned over to Somerset County Jail for an outstanding warrant after the charges were filed.

April 14

A 17-year-old Mountainside resident was charged with careless driving after the vehicle he was driving on Washington Valley Road at about 5:50 p.m. stuck a bicyclist.

Warren First Aid and Rescue Squad took the bicycist to Somerset Medical Center for treatment of injuries of received in the accident.

A Mt. Horeb Road resident reported fraudulent credit card charges totaling $2,649.32

Francesco Scarfone, 22, of Berkeley Heights, was charge with careless driving after the vehicle he was driving on Hillcrest Road, at Mountain Avenue, crossed the center line and cut-off a vehicle driven by Marianne Sowell, 49, also of Berkeley Heights, at 6:07 p.m.
