Driver Flown to Hospital After Accident

Stirling man suffers serious leg injury.

Clark Chesire, 54, of Stirling, was flown to Morristown Memorial Medical Center after the vehicle he was driving on Mountain Avenue, near Old Stirling Road, at about 5:50 a.m. Tuesday went of the roadway and hit a tree. 

Police said Chesire was driving westbound on Mountain Avenue when the accident occurred, and that he suffered a serious injury to his leg, requiring a Medivac helicopter airlift from the nearby high school fields. 

Police are continuing to investigate the accident and have not determined the cause of the accident.
