Stirling Road Accident Causes 'Minor Property Damage'

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of May 15.

May 18

Police responded to a report of an accident on Stirling Road, near Garden Street, after a vehicle driven by Drew Vautin, 18, of Stirling, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Matthew Debiasse, 17, of Millington. No injuries were reported in the incident, but police noted minor property damage at the site of the accident.

May 17

No injuries were reported in a 5:45 p.m. accident at Mt. Bethel and Mt. Horeb roads, after a vehicle driven by David Montesdeoca, 32, of West Orange, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Ida Pampani, 55, of Piscataway. No summonses were issued following the incident, either.

May 16

Police investigated an accident at 8:37 a.m. after a vehicle driven by Eugenia Cangialosi, 27, of Green Brook, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by John McGeown, 35, also of Green Brook, on Mt. Bethel Road, north of Mountain Boulevard. 

No injuries were reported, and police have not issued any summonses. 

May 14

Abhay Cinnawar, 35, of Edison, was charged with careless driving after the vehicle he was driving on King George Road, near Mountain Avenue, at 11:51 a.m. failed to stop for a traffic light and hit a vehicle driven by Joan Myers, 63, of Basking Ridge. Myers refused medical attention at the scene.

May 13

Police responded to a report of a hit-and-run accident at 7:35 a.m., after Victoria Martignetti, 38, of Warren, reported a rear-view mirror on the vehicle she was driving on Reinman Road, near Tina Lane, was struck by a white vehicle.

A Stirling Road kennel filed a report noting several kittens were taken without authorization at 2:13 p.m.

Police reposnded to an accident on Hillcrest Boulevard reported at 2:08 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Luis Izquierdo-Santiago, 47, of Macungie, Pa., backed into a vehicle driven by a Warren driver. No charges were filed, and no one reported being injured in the accident.

Police also investigated a 3:51 p.m. accident on Mt. Bethel Road, after a vehicle driven by David Walker, 38, of Green Brook, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Gary Lopinto, 60, of Toms River. No injuries were reported, and no summonses have been issued as a result of the incident.

Michael Whitman, 18, of Green Brook, was charged with possession of a weapon, possession of marijuana and drug paraphrenalia at 10:05 p.m. after the vehicle he was driving on Washington Valley Road was stopped. He was turned over to Somerset County Jail after the charges were filed, pending payment of bail.
