Police Respond to Two Morning Accidents

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of July 3.

July 7

Three vehicles were involved in an accident at 8:11 a.m. on Liberty Corner Road, at Elm Avenue, after a vehicle driven by Rishi Parmar, 26, of Warren, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Patrino Steo, 59, of Highland Park, which was then forced into a vehicle driven by Lynn Flood, 46, Princeton Junction. No one reported injuries at the scene of the accident.

At 9:17 a.m., police responded to an accident on Mt Bethel Road, near the Pheasant Run Shopping Center entrance, after a vehicle driven by Mary Fazekas, 42, of Middlesex, hit a vehicle driven by James Stillman, 67, of North Plainfield. No injuries were reported in the accident.

July 6

A truck hit cable television wires on Jessica Lane at noon. No damage was sustained, and the cable service provided was contacted.

At 1:10 p.m., a Highmount Avenue resident reported a case of credit card fraud, totaling $219,74. 

July 5

Police responded to an accident at 11:27 a.m. at Mountain Boulevard and Mt. Bethel Road, after a vehicle driven by Kenneth Smith, 54, of Somerville, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Hiroko Baldwin, 53, of Warren. No injuries were reported at the accident.

Horace Kipe, 47, of High Bridge, was taken to Morristown Memorial Medical Center at 7:20 p.m. after the vehicle he was driving was hit by a vehicle driven by Christie Mascia, 18, of Green Brook, forcing Kipe's vehicle into one driven by Scott Sterner, 50, of Randolph, on Mountain Boulevard, at Mt. Bethel Road. Kipe's injuries were described as minor. Mascia was cited for failing to follow a traffic signal, after she ran a red light. 

July 4

Vincent Caldas, 19, of Watchung, was charged with careless driving at 11:15 a.m. following an accident at Morning Glory Road and Top of the Word Way. Police said Caldas attempted to make a left-hand turn and was struck by a vehicle driven by Rani Usha, 39, of Warren, who was take to Somerset Medical Center for treatment of a minor arm injury. 

July 3

Police responded to an accident at 6:26 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Alyssa Giglio, 18, or Stirling, went off the roadway on Mountain Avenue and hit a utility pole. No injuries were reported in the accident.

July 1

At 4:26 p.m., Somerset Hills Hotel filed a report of theft of services totaling $2,485.22. Police are investigating the theft.
