Driver Injured Avoiding Vehicle

Sept. 14

Anthony Ramella, 26, of Bethlehem, Pa., was injured when the vehicle he was driving on Mt. Bethel Road, near Technology Drive, hit a utility pole after he swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle at 1:10 p.m.

Sept. 13

Antoinett Perilli, 77, of Warren, was charged with failing to yield to traffic after the vehicle she was driving hit a motorcycle driven by John Harris, 36, of Milltown, as she was exiting the Flag Plaza shopping center at 12:50 p.m. Harris was taken to Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick for treatment of a reported minor injury.

Sept. 12

Angel Torres, 19, of Elizabeth, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana at 5:14 p.m. The charge came after police stopped him while dving on Hillcrest Road. He was turned over the Union County sheriffs for processing on charges from the county.

Sept. 9

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Joan Whitmore, 68, of Warren, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Michael Vita, 30, of Wayne, on Mount Bethel Road, south of Mount Horeb Road, at 8:42 a.m. No summonses have been issued.
