Another Hit-and-run Accident Reported

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of Nov. 6.

Nov. 9

Police investigated a reported hit-and-run accident at Hillcrest Road, south of Mountain Avenue, at 7:31 p.m., after a vehicle driven by Monica Szalus, 45, of Berkeley Heights, was hit in the rear by another vehicle, which left the area after the accident.

Nov. 7

Police are investigating a burglary reported by a Mountain Boulevard business at 5 p.m. Details haven't been released at this time.

Kyni Scott, 20, and Kyle Scott, 22, both of Middletown, N.Y., were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell at 7:53 p.m., after police stopped the vehicles they were driving on Liberty Corner Road. Both were released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court. 

Nov. 6

Michael Flynn, 25, of Warren, was charged with driving under the influence at 7:27 p.m., after the vehicle he was driving hit a vehicle driven by Leandro Casador, 32, of Carteret, then left the scene at Washington Valley Road and Morning Glory Road without reporting the accident. Flynn was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident and careless driving.

Nov. 5

Cristina Canossa, 37, of Warren was charged with driving while her license was suspended, after the vehicle she was driving was hit a vehicle driven by Patricia Rauh, 53, of Bridgewater, while turning in the intersection of Mountain Boulevard and Mt. Bethel Road at 10:55 a.m. Rescue squad personnel responded to a complaint of a shoulder injury at the scene, but no one was taken to a hospital.

Nov. 4

Several residents in the Roseland Avenue neighborhood reported graffiti sprayed on mailboxes, and police also noted graffti on the stop signs at the intersections of Fairfield and Gates, and Gates and Roseland avenues.

A Meadow Drive resident reported the theft of unspecified items valued at more than $16,000 from an unlocked vehicle at their home. The report was made at 12:53 p.m.

Police responded to an accident at the intersection of Mountain Boulevard and Old Stirling Road at 5:24 p.m., after a vehicle driven by Angelo Russo, 65, of Somerset, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Jamie Tsai, 52, of Warren. No injuries were reported.

Nov. 3

Police received a report of criminal mischief to the garage door of a Blazier Road residence at 6:43 p.m.
