Cory's Brook Resident Latest Victim of Burglary

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of Nov. 27.

Dec. 1

A Cory's Brook Road resident reported a burglary at 4:54 p.m., with various unspecified items reported stolen. Police are investigating.

Police responded to an accident at 5:10 p.m. at Mountain Boulevard, after a vehicle driven by Angela Salermo, 42, of Warren, hit the trear of a vehicle driven by Jennifer Auricchio, 35, of Fanwood. No injuries were reported.

Elliott Sessoms, 22, of Plainfield, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of mariuana after the vehicle he was driving on Hillcrest Road was stopped by police at 8:12 p.m. He was also charegd with possession of drug paraphrenalia and hindering police. Sessoms was released after the charges were filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

Nov. 30

Pedro Ferriera, 28, of Denville, was charged with careless driving at 5:25 p.m. after the vehicle he was driving was hit by a vehicle driven by James Blackford, 52, of Stewartsville, as he was turing into traffic on Hillcrest Road, from Emerson Lane. No injuries were reported.

Police identified an attempted burglary at a Deer Path residence at 7:36 p.m. Police said broken glass on a rear sliding door of the property indicated teh attempt; nothing was reported taken. 

Nov. 29

Police responded to an accident at 7:35 a.m., after a vehicle driven by Gladys Veitch, 61, of Bedminster, collided with a vehicle driven by Manuel Guerra, 48, of Warren, on Washington Valley Road. No injuries were reported. Veitch was charged with careless driving and driving while uninsured.

Christian Perez, 29, of Warren, was charged with careless driving at 3:31 p.m., after the vehicle he was driving on Mountain Avenue, near Wagner Farms, went off the roadway. No injuries were reported in the incident.

A Geiger Lane resident reported a burglary at about 10 p.m., according to police. The resident said computers and jewelry, valued at $4,650 in total, were taken in the incident. Police are investigating the theft.

Nov. 28

A Cottonwood Lane resident reported at 10:45 a.m. that someone had been able to take about $3,000 from a bank account, in a case of identity theft.

Nov. 25

At 7:49 a.m., a Stiles Road resident reported the theft of about $200 from their residence. No estimated time frame for the theft was provided.
