Two Injured in Two-Car Crash on I-78

Accident damages guard rail, slows traffic near exit 33.

Two people were injured Friday evening in a two-car crash on Interstate 78 near exit 33 in Warren, according to State Trooper Prusakowski.

Two were injured, but only one was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital, Prusakowski said. The second person injured complained of pain but declined treatment, Prusakowski said.

Two lanes were blocked because of the accident, reducing traffic heading east to one lane, according to Prusakowski. The accident, which occured at about 6:30 p.m., caused approximately 60 feet of damage to the guard rail, Prusakowski said.

No summonses were issued in the accident, Prusakowski said.
