Four Overnight Vehicle Burglaries Under Investigation

Warren Police probe Thursday night incidents.

Warren Township police received four reports on Thursday that residents' vehicles had been broken into at some point the previous night, and that items ranging from electronics equipment, to a wallet with cash, and also three bottles of wine had been taken, according to a police report issued on Friday.

No arrests were reported by police. Reports were filed.

Police said they first were contacted by a Puddingstone Lane resident at 7:34 a.m. on Thursday with the complaint that an unknown person apparently had entered a vehicle overnight through an open window and removed an iPod Touch, Nikon Digital Camera and a set of brake pads. The items were valued at $980, according to the police report.

Police next reported at 7:52 a.m. to a report that someone had entered an unlocked door of a vehicle at some unknown time overnight, and had removed a Tom-Tom GPS, 2 volt meters and a wallet containing $300. The approximate value of the lost items was $2,100, township police said.

At 9:56 a.m. on Thursday, township police answered a third report of a motor vehicle burglary that apparently had taken place overnight on Sycamore Way. Police said a coupon book was taken, but did not place a value on the book.

A final, fourth, call that a motor vehicle break-in had taken place reportedly was received by township police at 8:56 p.m. on Thursday. A Hemlock Circle resident said someone had entered a motor vehicle through an unlocked door, and had taken three bottles of wine, valued at about $37, according to the police report.
