Phillip Fitchett, 58, of Dunellen, was taken to Somerset Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries received in an accident at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday.
According to police, the accident occurred near 500 Warrenville Road, when a vehicle driven by Kumar Ayer, 49, of Stirling, hit the rear of the vehicle Fitchett was driving.
He was taken to SMC by Atlantic Ambulance.

Ayer was charged with careless driving.
Warren police also responded to an accident on Mountain Boulevard at 5:08 p.m., when a vehicle driven by Mary Herman, 65, of Warren, hit a vehicle driven by Daniel Russo, 29, of Cedar Grove. No injuries were reported in the accident.
