Woman Found Dead in Smoke-Filled Warren Home

Police and Somerset County Prosecutor's Office investigators are piecing together details after a 93-year-old woman was found dead at an Upper Warren Way residence when firefighters responded to a report of smoke inside the residence.

Police said investigators are contacting relatives of the victim, who may have been living at the property, although they weren't certain of the status of the victim.

Investigators are also working to determine the cause of the smoke that filled the house, leading a home health care worker to call 9-1-1 upon her arrival at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
