Jewelry Theft at Deerfield Road Residence Reported

Warren Township Police Department's daily activity reports for the week of March 18.

March 19

A Deerfield Road resident reported at 7:55 a.m. that jewelry, valued at $2,500, had been stolen from the residence. No signs of forced entry to the residence was noted, and police are continuing to investigate the incident.

No injuries were reported following an accident on Warrenville Road, south of Old Washington Valley Road, at 2:24 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Michael Cabeza, 18, of Middlesex, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Brandon Bickerton, 18, of Green Brook.

Katherine Waldron, 88, of North Plainfield, was charged with careless driving after the vehicle she was driving on Mountain Boulevard, near Apple Tree Lane, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Frank Pirella Jr., 72, of Somerset, causing it to hit a vehicle driven by Robert Pittenger, 55, of North Plainfield, at about 3:01 p.m. A passenger in one of the vehicles, Diane Pirella, 68, of Somerset, was taken to Somerset Medical Center for treatment on injuries.

No injuries were reported following an accident at 4:10 p.m. after a vehicle driven by Donald Smith, 78, of Manville, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Raymond Schnell, 54, of Martinsville, as the vehicles traveled on Mt. Bethel Road, near Maxwell Court.

March 18

A Loren Way resident reported a burglary at about 1 a.m. The resident reported someone had forced open the front door of the residence, but details on what was taken was not available.

March 17

No injuries were reported after a vehicle driven by Christina Gerrard, 36, of Bridgewater, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Jason Kirchheimer, 33, of Jersey City, as the vehicles traveled Mountain Boulevard, near Bardy Road, at about 2:50 p.m.

March 16

Cody Kelly, 18, of Green Brook, was charged with underage possession of alcohol at 9:44 p.m., after police performed a motor vehicle stop. Kelly was released after the charge was filed, pending an appearance in municipal court.

March 15

No injuries were reported in an accident at 2:29 p.m., after a vehicle driven by Benedetto DiMaggio, 56, of Rivers Edge, struck a vehicle driven by Pamela Flomerfelt, 56 of Warren, on Mountain Boulevard, just west of Mt. Bethel Road.
