The Recreation Commission launched its "Identify this Warren Location" contest Monday, inviting residents to check four photos posted on its Shutterfly social media website page. The commission also linked to the contest through its Facebook page, where contest winners will be posted.

According to the commission's Cherie Krebs, who suggested the contest, the idea was to do something to increase interactivity with residents through the sites.

"We're trying to leverage what we have out there," she said. "Anyhting to interact with people in the social media."

The contest's first deadline for entries in July 25, but additional contests are planned with added resident input.

"It should evolve—at some pointwe should get people involved and have them send pictures," Krebs added."How cool would that be?"

For the first series, Krebs said she selected some fairly easy scenes but future contests may be a bit more difficult.

Those able to identify the photos' locations should email guesses to Krebs at cherie.krebs@yahoo.com—be sure to include as muc information about the location of the photo.

Right now, only bragging rights are at stake but Krebs said as the contest develops, prizes donated by local businesses may be offered.
