Black Ice Warning for Roads, Warren Library Closed Early

Warren Township branch closed as of 4:30 p.m., other branches closing at 5 p.m.

Warren Township police said that township and county roads had been plowed and salted as of Tuesday evening, but warned that further problems might develop as roads refreeze later in the night.

Township and County workers were addressing the problem areas on those roadways that might aris, said Police Lt. Herbert Hentschel.

"We advise our residents to use caution when traveling to their destination and be cautious of the black ice conditions that will develop in the parking lots and roadways," Hentschel said.   

Due to ongoing poor weather conditions, the Warren Township branch of the Somerset County library closed at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The nine other branches of the Somerset County Library System (SCLS) closed on Tuesday at 5 p.m.
