Water Company to Address Water Quality Issues

The Township Committee from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at the Susie Boyce Municipal Court Room, 44 Mountain Boulevard, will sponsor an open forum conducted by Mayor Carolann Garafola and Deputy Mayor Vic Sordillo with representatives of New Jersey American Water Company.

This meeting will provide information and answer questions regarding the recent complaints as to the hardness of water coming from faucets. The most common complaints have been white spots or etchings on dishes, and skin rashes. The NJ American Water Company will be represented by Kevin Watsey, Government Affairs Manager, who encourages residents to voice their concerns. Mr. Watsey and his team will explain the causes of the hard water and the long and short term plans to address these issues. Information will be provided to inform residents as to how they can minimize the impact of the hard water. The Township Committee takes these concerns by residents very seriously and has requested that NJ American Water Company address this issue.

If residents are unable to attend the forum they may email questions to: lsullivan@warrentboe.org. NJ American can then address your questions during the public forum which will be taped for broadcast on the Township’s cable station or through our website: www.warrennj.org. For further information please contact the Administrator’s office at: 908-753 8000, ext. 252.
