Township Recognizes Youth Football Team

The coaches and members of the Jr. Warriors football team were honored during Thursday night's Township Committee meeting for their victory in the Unlimited Weight Football Association title game on Dec. 11, where they capped a perfect season with the state title.

In the video above, co-head coach Keith Vanderbeek explains a promise he made to the team at the beginning of the season, and Mayor Gary DiNardo reads the citation presented to the coaches and to each of the players.

The team includes Shekiah E. Johnson,  John Tekin,  Darren L. Calleo, Austin B. Schmidt, Joseph P. Giacomo, Griffin Vanderbeek, Michael Carlucci, Dylan Badger, Ben Gomes, Ryan Cunningham, Jesse Reina, David Geigrich, Frank Butrico, Sean M. Mullaney, Jordan Rothenberg, Frank J. Colantuono, Tim Fitzgerald, Derek Lamble, Daniel Ringel, Dean Grogg, Aristoteles Aslidis, Ibn Foster, Matthew J. Oliveira, Kyle Mas, Tyler Helbing, Ross A. Warlick, Jeremy Piszkowski, Christopher Irving, Danny Bongiorno, Devyn Spruell and Mark Ball.
