Lance Sets May Day Meeting in Warren

Wednesday's event will include staff members able to help residents.

U.S. Rep. Leonard Lance will be hosting a town hall meeting in Warren Wednesday, with members of his office staff present to help local residents with any issues they may be having with federal programs or offices. 

"I am proud to be hosting a town hall meeting with our illustrious congressman," Mayor Victor Sordillo said. "He has been a great supporter of Warren Township."

The town hall will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Susie Boyce Meeting Room at the municipal complex.

During the Somerset County town hall meeting, Rep. Lance, R-7th Dist., is expected to discuss the important issues facing Congress and the American people. He will take questions and share his views on the issues like the economy and federal spending.

Additionally, members of Rep. Lance’s staff will be available to assist residents who are experiencing difficulties with federal agencies such as the IRS, Social Security Administration, Veterans Affairs, the State Department or any other federal agency.

Lance's last town hall in Warren was held in February 2011.

"I hope to see a good turnout of residents to hear from Congressman Lance," Mayor Sordillo said. "In these tough economic times, it is comforting knowing that our leadership is looking out for our best interests."
