New Officers Join Police Department

Pair sworn-in at Township Committee meeting.

The Warren Township Police Department is getting back up to its full strength, after two officers were sworn in at the April 14 Township Commitete meeting.

The officers, Jeffery Sohler and Patrick Bennett, are currently in the department's internal field training. They already completed the necessary police training to be certified.

Officer Sohler was sworn in with help from his mother and father, a retired Bridgewater police officer.

Officer Bennett was accompanied by his mother and brother, Mike.

The officers filled two of five positions opened over the last year by retirements older officers. They will receive a starting annual salary of $60,401.
