Newest Fire Truck's Color Scheme is Township Approved

Mt. Horeb Volunteer Fire Co. is hosting a wetdown to christen its new truck, which features colors just set by the Township Committee.

During Thursday's Township Committee meeting, Township Administrator Mark Krane help up two paint samples for the committee members.

The samples were for the colors to be used on new fire trucks in Warren—black and red—which residents can see on the new truck at Mt. Horeb Volunteer Fire Co. at the fire company's wetdown, scheduled for 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the firehouse on Elm Street.

And after confirming the color palette, the committee members bantered about ...less favorable color choices.

"You don't want a pink fire truck," Deputy Mayor Carolann Garafola joked.

"And we're not going back to lime green," Krane said, which Mayor Gary DiNardo reiterated.
