OEM Update: Nearly All Have Power Restored

Final update following storm.

This is a message from the Office of Emergency Management with information for Saturday, Nov. 05, 2011.

Almost all the residents of Warren have now had their power restored. If you still do not have electricity, call JCP&L at 1-800-662-3115 and 1-888-544-4877 to ensure that they have a record of the outage. Please also call the Warren Township Police Department at 908-753-1000 and give them your address. Mayor Dinardo and the Township Committee will continue to work until 100 percent of the residents of Warren have had their power restored.

The Department of Public Works will only pick up storm debris from trees and branches that fell in the right away along the road. Debris brought to the side of the road from the yard will not be picked up. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to have it disposed of properly.

In order to learn now how to best prepare for the next emergency, please go to the Warren Township website at warrennj.org. According to Homeland Security recommendations, all residents should be prepared to shelter in place for at least 72 hours or longer.

The Township Committee, the Warren Township Police Department and the Warren Township Office of Emergency Management thank the resident of Warren for their patience and cooperation during this emergency.
