Police Recognized for Outstanding Efforts

Sometimes, it's the little things police do that make the biggest differences—like listening carefully enough to discern a suicidal caller, or filling in for someone who's out, such as Dispatcher Charlotte Frankenfield did when she served as secretary to Chief of Police Russell Leffert and a dispatcher while the chief's secretary was out on leave.

Sometimes, it's acting quickly on a gut feeling to capture a serial thief.

And in 2009 and 2010, Warren police had several such examples of outstanding and exceptional service, which Chief of Police Russell Leffert took time to note during the presentation of awards at the May 5 Township Committee meeting.
