Rec Programs Building Towards Busy Summer Season

Start with tennis lessons for kids — then look forward to summer's offerings.

It's time to dust off the sports equipment and shake out your shorts: summer's almost here and with it, lots of opportunities for adults and kids to enjoy outdoor activities sponsored by the Warren Recreation Commission.

Spring kicks off with the Tennis Festival slated for 1-3 p.m. Saturday, with instructor Steve Levin offering kids as young as 4-years-old an introduction to the game. The festival is followed by the township's 15-lesson series, which begins Monday.

Registrations for summer camps also begins Monday, with a full complement of programs planned.
