Township Looking to Sell Property

And a new tenant sought for Wagner Farms house.

The last of three properties on Dock Watch Hollow Road and owned by Warren Township will be going on the market, again.

The Township Committee gave Township Administrator Mark Krane permission to re-advertise the property last week. Last year, three properties on Dock Watch Hollow Road owned by the township were advertised, and two sold.

But the third, advertised for a minimum bid of $320,000, did not sell and will be re-advertised at the same minimum price. Krane noted the property can be readvertised without having to rewrite the original ordinance if the minimum bid is not changed; otherwise, the township will incur considerable expenses in having to rewrite and approve another ordinance.

The property includes a small stone house, barn structure and substantial lot.

While the township isn't changing the price on the property being sold, it will reduce the lease price for a house on the Wagner Farms property. The 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath property had previously be offered at $2,200 per month rent but no takers were found.
