Service Restored After Tree Breaks Power Line

Nearly 1,500 residents without power for about seven hours Sunday.

Service to JCP&L's customers affected by the power outage has been restored, according to the company's outage map and township officials.

The outage was caused by a downed power line on King George Road, after high winds toppled a tree.

In response to the power outage that occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Warren Office of Emergency Management opened a warming shelter for residents at Stonecrest Community Church for those who were without power.

This is absolute bs. Why warren again? Do we even have an explanation?

Where is the power out? If we know people in area, it would be nice to try to reach them, to offer a warm, lit home.

There should definitely be a way to get this sort of helpful information to the residents who need it at the time needed. I was one of those without power. I was home with the flu and very worried about what I'd do once nightfall hit. JP&L was not at all helpful.
