Service Restored After Tree Breaks Power Line

Nearly 1,500 residents without power for about seven hours Sunday.

Service to JCP&L's customers affected by the power outage has been restored, according to the company's outage map and township officials.

The outage was caused by a downed power line on King George Road, after high winds toppled a tree.

In response to the power outage that occurred at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, the Warren Office of Emergency Management opened a warming shelter for residents at Stonecrest Community Church for those who were without power.
