WTC Flag Presented as Gesture of Appreciation

Governor's office presents retired flag to township.

Days after the township's Sept. 11 memorial ceremony, a flag that had flown over the site of the World Trade Towers was presented to Warren Township.

The flag was donated to the township by the office of Gov. Chris Christie, and presented by Rich DiRose, of the governor's staff, on Sept. 14.

The flag is accompanied by a certificate noting the flag was flown over the WTC site on Sept. 11, 2011, at the request of Gov. Christie in honor of Warren Township.
