Update: District 21 Results Cement Warren Resident's Spot on November Ballot

Democratic Senate candidate Swanicke receives 359 votes.

The unofficial results of Tuesday's primary election provided no surprises in the 21st District.

One Warren resident will have his name on ballots come November's general election.

Warren's Paul Swanicke (D) will challenge incumbent Thomas Kean (R-Westfield) for a Senate seat.

The unofficial results posted on the Somerset County Clerk's website at mid-morning on Wednesday showed Swanicke had received 359 votes and Kean 1,377 from county voters.

Incumbents Jon Bramnick (R-Westfield) and Nancy Munoz (R-Summit) will represent the GOP for a pair of assembly seats in November's general election. They will be challenged by Democratic hopefuls Bruce Bergen (Springfield) and Norman Albert (Cranford).

Bramnick unofficially received 1,314 votes from county voters, and Munoz 1,267. Bergen received 354 and Albert 342.
