Updated Information from Warren OEM

Residents can get information through reverse 911 system.

The Warren Office of Emergency Management is encouraging any residents who haven't signed up for the Reverse 911 message system to do in order to receive information.

The following message was recently issued on the system:
"After significant efforts on the part of the Warren Police Department and your elected officials, out of state utility trucks from JCP&L have finally arrived in Warren to restore electricity. We're hoping power will be restored shortly to all residents.
"For PSE&G customers without power, contact PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG.
"If you need water: Bring containers to the snack shack at the Warren Twp. municipal ball fields where a faucet of potable water marked out with yellow caution tape is available for your use.
"If you know of elderly or special needs residents without electricity, the Warren Police will deliver bottled water and packaged meals to them.
"Call the Warren Police at 908-753-1000.
"The Somerset County (Somerset Hills) YMCA has opened both of their local facilities for residents to take showers.
"The address locations are 140 Mt. Airy Rd. and 665 MArtinsville Rd. in Basking Ridge. Bring your own towels and toiletries."

If you did not receive the message, and have a telephone connection, you may not be registered with the messaging system. To signup, go to the Warren Township Police Department website at www.warrenpolice.com, and click the "Global Connects" icon. Follow the instructions for adding your cell phone number to the system.
