Voting Off to Strong Start

Little confusion over locations for early voters.

A steady stream of voters began arriving at Warren's voting locations, even before the sun rose.

Many came even though they did not have power at home, making it a point to vote early in the day.

Several districts were moved, which made some officials concerned voters would have trouble finding the right locations. Signs placed in front of the usual places—such as the driveway at Our Lady of the Mount Church—gave directions for anyone unaware.

Voters will be filling two seats on the Warren Township Committee and one on the Watchung Hills Regional Board of Education today, along with weighing in on the presidency.

Lines may grow longer than those at the gas station later in the day—if history is any guide, about 80 percent of the aproximately 10,500 registered voters will participate in today's election.
