Blake Makes Rensselaer Deans List

Former WHRHS hockey standout continues play at RPI.

Connor J. Blake, a 2011 Watchung Hills Regional High School graduate and a freshman at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, N.Y., has been named to the Dean's List for the Fall 2011 semester.

Blake is dual majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and playing hockey on RPI's ACHA team. He was captain of the Watchung Hills Regional varsity hockey team before his graduation in June 2011.

3.0 is the minimum GPA for Dean's list at RPI.

Rensselaer was recently named in Money Watch, along with MIT and Princeton, as one of 16 colleges and universities in the U.S. where college students encounter the toughest grading. At the 16 colleges and universities on the list, it's significantly harder to get A's than at the typical campus. Stuart Rojstaczer, a former Duke professor, who created GradeInflation.com, compiled a list of schools earlier this year of the toughest graders.
