Prolong the Life of your Computer

Warren Township is pleased to offer a class for the beginner to intermediate pc user on maintaining and caring for a home computer. Taught by a professional in the field of computer technology, the PC user will receive advice and instruction on how to care for his computer. Terms will be defined, processes taught and advice given in order to perform regular PC maintenance to prolong the life of a home computer. Topics to be covered include: deleting temporary files, backing up a hard drive, selecting anti-virus and spyware software, deleting software, updating web browsers, checking & cleaning the registry for errors, checking the hard drive for bad sectors & errors, defragging the hard drive, cleaning the computer and how to get rid of pop-ups. Each attendee will receive a instructional checklist on computer maintenance at the end of the class.
