Warrenbrook on Wellness: Learn How to Love Your Kidneys

The Warrenbrook Senior Center will host a “Warrenbrook On Wellness” lunch & learn program on kidney disease at 10:30 a.m. at the center.

Kidneys are essential to good health because they remove toxins from the blood, regulate blood pressure and support healthy bones and tissues. Ellen Yoshiuchi from the National Kidney Foundation serving Greater New York will present “Love Your Kidneys – Know the Score,” at the center at 10:30 a.m. The program will provide an explanation of kidney disease, a list of warning signs and recommendations for kidney care.

If you wish to make a lunch reservation, please contact the senior center by 10:30 a.m. at least one business day in advance. The menu includes a choice of a cheese omelet or Thai stir-fried vegetables. A suggested lunch donation of $1.50 is recommended for individuals age 60 and above.  The cost of lunch for those under age 60 is $5.35.

For more information or to register, contact Manager Gwen Chalker, Warrenbrook Senior Center, at (908) 753-9440.
