Hachey and Pisciotta Receive Bank's Scholarships

Millington Bank awards WHRHS grads.

Matthew Hachey and Joseph Pisciotta, both of Gillette, were this year’s Millington Savings Bank $500 college scholarship recipients.

Hachey and Pisciotta, members of the Class of 2011 at Watchung Hills Regional High School, were selected based on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement, exemplary participation in extracurricular activities and work experience.

Beth Korkuch, Millington Savings Bank Headquarters Branch Manager, presented the students with their awards at the 2011 WHRHS Senior Awards Night on June 20.

Matthew, son of Allan and Jill Hachey, will be attending the University of South Carolina in the fall to study International Business and Financial Law. He was vice president of the Youth Executive Committee and attained the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. During his Boy Scout years, Matthew participated as a Troop Guide, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, and Senior Patrol Leader/Course Director. He currently works part-time as a teller at Millington Savings Bank’s headquarters in Millington.

Joseph, son of Joe and Debbie Pisciotta, will be attending Raritan Valley Community College in the fall, where he plans to study Psychology and Criminal Justice. He plans to become a police officer in his future career. Joseph also achieved the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. He previously worked at TJ Maxx, Panera Bread, and International Antiques. Joseph is currently employed part-time by Millington Savings Bank as a teller at the bank’s headquarters location.
