Molly DiDonato Joins Providence College’s Community Service Trip to Haiti

Molly DiDonato ’16, a resident of Warren, recently participated in Providence College's first spring International Immersion trip to Haiti.

From May 27 to June 1, DiDonato, an Accountancy major, along with seven other PC students, volunteered at the Louverature Cleary School, a boarding school in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti. The school is operated by The Haitian Project, whose president is Deacon Patrick J.A. Moynihan ’99G & ’12Hon. It provides a tuition-free education to 350 children. 

The students assisted with teaching classes, planned activities, and got to know students and staff. They were accompanied by Rev. James Cuddy O.P. ’98, College Chaplain and Sarah Atwood, a campus minister for Providence College.

Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic, liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 3,900 students and offers degrees in 49 academic majors. Providence College has consistently been ranked among the top five regional universities in the north according to U.S. News' America's Best Colleges.
