What topics enter the minds of students when planning science fair projects?

For Mt. Horeb REACH Gifted and Talented students, everything from moldy bread and mummified hot dogs to glowing alum crystals became fodder for imaginative hypotheses—which the students showcased Friday night at the school.

A total of 74 students presented 38 studies at the event.
