Weidlich's 10 Points Push Warriors Over Ridge
Team's 20-point fourth-quarter erases 8-point deficit at the half to secure the win.
The Watchung Hills Regional High School boys basketball team hosted county rival Ridge Thursday night. Although trailing throughout the game, the Warriors tie the game at the halfway point of the final frame and go on to win by 5 points.
IN SHORT
After trailing for the entire game, the Warriors crept back into the game and tied the score at 41-41 with 4:11 left of the fourth quarter. Both teams fought to keep the edge, but it was the strong defense of Hills and 5-for-6 shooting from the free throw line that would be the difference.

COACH'S TAKE
"It was a great win against a very very good team. Ridge is a team that everyone in the county says is better than us so we wanted to come and make a statement. I tell our kids we can beat anyone on any given day and we can lose to anyone on any given day. Our county is so good and so deep this year, it's crazy. It was big that we found a way to win tonight against a very good team." - Watchung Hills coach Justin Salton
UP NEXT - The Warriors will travel to play Hillsborough at 7 p.m. Jan. 31.
