Six From Watchung Hills Tapped for All-State Chorus

Students will perform at NJPAC and in AC.

Six Watchung Hills Regional students have been named to the New Jersey All-State Chorus.

The selection followed an audition, with the students performing a given piece of music. As part of the All-State Chorus, they will be performing at NJPAC and Atlantic City's Trump Plaza for the NJEA Convention next year.

Tenzin Tsepel, Gabe Price, Rachel Hobble, Lauren Panzarino, Daniel Grant (juniors) and Jake Wasserman (sophomore) were named to the prestigious chorus.

"This is a tremendous accomplishment," director Angela DiIorio said, adding more than 1,000 students audition for the honor each year, with fewer than 300 selected.

The program is run by the New Jersey Music Educators Association to draw attention to the best high school musicians in the state.
