Spiller Named Warren Board President

New members Desiree DeNourie and Gregory Steiers join board.

Mildred Spiller moved one chair to her right on the Warren Township Board of Education dais set up in the district's administration building, after she was named board president for 2013 during Monday's reorganization meeting.

Spiller was the only nomination from the board, and enjoyed the unanimous support of the members, including just-sworn-in members Desiree DeNourie and Gregory Steier. DeNourie, Steier and Kathy Helewa were elected in November, with Helewa returning after finishing the term Patricia Toubin.

The board also tapped Don Huber as vice-president for the coming year.
