VIDEO: 60-Second Township Schools Budget Introduction

Superintendent Tami Crader gave an overview of the tentative 2012-13 school budget.

At Monday's Warren Township Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Tami Crader presented the district's proposed $41.5 million 2012-2013 school budget.

If approved by the board at the March 27 board meeting without changes, the budget will add $89 per year to the property tax bill of the owner of property assessed at the township average of $625,650, a 1.62 percent increase.

Residents will not vote on the budget—the board approved moving the school election to November, which eliminates votes for school budgets falling under the state-set tax levy increase cap, currently at 2 percent.
