Watchung Hills HS, Warren School Boards To Swear in New Members on Jan. 6

Both school boards scheduled to reorganize on Monday night following New Year's.

With school board elections moved to November, newly elected board members are scheduled to be sworn into new terms at the reorganization meetings for the Warren Township and Watchung Hills High School boards of education, both set for Monday night, Jan. 6.

The Watchung Hills Regional High School Board reorganization is set for 6 p.m. on Jan. 6 in the south auditorium of the high school complex at 108 Stirling Road in Warren.

The two new board members to be sworn into three-year terms are Peter Fallon, a 12-year member of the Watchung Hills board, most recently in 2012, and also on Warren Township Board of Education. Newcomer Robert Morrison also will be sworn in.

Warren Township schools reorganization set for same night

Warren Township's Board of Education has scheduled its first meeting of the year at 7 p.m. on Jan. 6 at the board office at 213 Mount Horeb Road in Warren.

Incumbent James Sena is scheduled to be sworn into an additional term, to be joined by Celeste Campos and Lisa DiMaggio, who won three-year terms as write-in candidates.

Shortly before the election, the school board had selected Len DeMontagnac as a board member for an unexpired term, adding another new member to the board. At that meeting in October, Board President Mildred Spiller urged some of the other four applicants for that unexpired term to run as write-in candidates in November.
