Tryouts for the 2012 Watchung Hills Warriors 14U All-star baseball

Tryouts for the 2012 Watchung Hills Warriors 14U All-star baseball team will be held on Saturday, February 4th at 12:30 pm at the Branchburg Sports Complex, located at 47 Readington Road in Branchburg. Once again the 4 towns feeding Watching Hills Regional High School will combine their all-star teams at ages 13 and 14 (to create two teams) to bring together the top players who may one day play for the high school.  This is an opportunity to unite future teammates and has helped build a strong baseball program at WHRHS.  Last summer as 13 year olds the Warriors were runners up in the North Jersey All-star Baseball league and Babe Ruth Districts tournament, and advanced to the Babe Ruth State tournament.  They also won the East Brunswick Slugfest. Players born on May 1, 1997 or later, and living in Green Brook, Long Hill, Watchung or Warren are eligible to try out for the 14U team.  Attendees should bring their baseball glove and bat, and wear baseball attire and sneakers. All players interested in trying out for the team are asked to pre-register by emailing the following information to Bob Roth at rrrothjr@gmail.com - full name & address, birth date, email address, telephone number.  Any questions can be sent here as well. The Watchung Hills Warriors 14u team will enter the spring CJABL All-star league, the summer American Legion league (wood bats) and several tournaments.  More details will follow at the tryout regarding schedules, costs, and the commitment required to participate on this travel team.
