Future Warriors, Jerry Mobus Dedication Part of a Winning Night at WHRHS

An evening with a lot of spirit ended in a Warriors' victory.

The Watchung Hills Warriors Touchdown Club last Friday held a special dedication to rename the team’s inflatable blast tunnel as the Jerry Mobus Spirit Tunnel. At the start of games — such as Friday's contest with Warren Hills — the players and cheerleaders run through the tunnel and out onto the field as a show of pride and spirit.

The renaming honors the late Mayor of Watchung, Jerry Mobus, who served as the longtime voice of the Warriors Football Program, said Glenn Mastrobattista, president of the Watchung Hills Warriors Touchdown Club.

The same night, the Touchdown Club hosted its annual Future Warriors Night, where youth football players and cheerleaders from the Watchung Hills Pop Warner and Junior Warriors football/cheer programs were honored before the start of the Warriors Game against Warren Hills.
