Jess Heifetz Leads Warriors Over Somerville

Watchung Hills Regional girls soccer team stays perfect after two games.

Watchung Hills Regional girls soccer won 4-1 over Somerville on their home field Saturday to improve their record to 2-0.

Somerville forward Emily Millar scored the first goal of the game early in the first half, then 13 minutes into the game freshman forward Ally Grunstein evened the score with a volley off the cross from junior Rachel Marino.

The first half ended 1-1, but senior Jess Heifetz scored right at the start of the second half off a cross from Grunstein. Heifetz added another goal 20 minutes later after a great pass from senior forward Jess Soldiviero.

Soldiviero also scored the final goal of the game, as Heifetz returned the favor with an assist to her fellow captain.
