PHOTOS: Little League's Pitch, Hit and Run

Young ball players give their best efforts in competition.

Warren's youngest ball players hustled around the municipal ballfields Saturday, trying to score the most points to advance in Warren Baseball Softball Inc.'s Pitch, Hit and Run competition.

This is the second time the league has participated in the MLB-sponosored program, and in hopes of drawing more participants, combined the competition with the annual photo day.

Kids competing were given scores based on how far they hit a ball, how many times  they could hit a target throwing the ball, and how fast they could run bases. The highest scoring players will advance in the contest—possibly to the national finals, which are held during Major League Baseball's All-Star Week.
