Rizzi Scores Three Against Piscataway
Watchung Hills baseball team scores nine runs in fourth and fifth innings, roll to victory.
The Watchung Hills Regional High School baseball team pounded Piscataway High School in Warren on Monday afternoon, winning 11-4.
In Short
Things looked bleak for the Warriors right out the gate, falling behind 3-0 after a half inning of play. But Watchung answered back with two runs of its own in the bottom of the first to close the gap. After trading scoreless innings, the Warriors finally broke through, scoring five in the fourth and four in the fifth, en route to the blowout victory. Following the first inning, the Warriors pitching and defense were sharp and in those fourth and fifth innings and the Watchung batters made Piscataway throw a lot of pitches, wearing them down during their scoring outburst.
